Spa Well was created to fill a gap that had long existed within the spa and wellness industry: the absence of a dedicated, supportive space where professionals could connect, ask questions, and speak openly with others who truly understood their world. Even in an industry rooted in care, many spa leaders found themselves without a community where they could share challenges, seek advice, or learn alongside peers facing the same pressures and expectations.

Recognising this need, Spa Well was established as a modern, welcoming platform designed specifically for spa and wellness professionals. It brings together spa managers, heads of department, directors, independent consultants, educators, and brand partners. A collective committed to professional growth, industry collaboration, and elevating standards across the sector.

What began as the search for a place to exchange ideas and access support has evolved into a wider ecosystem shaping the future of spa leadership. Today, Spa Well offers a dedicated online platform and mobile app, in-person networking events, practical education pathways, pre-recorded expert webinars, and industry initiatives that strengthen both emerging and experienced leaders.

At its core, Spa Well exists to empower spa professionals with the tools, knowledge, and community they deserve, helping them grow their confidence, develop their skills, and contribute to a stronger, more connected industry.

About Sara

Spa Well was founded by Sara Young, a spa and wellness professional with a career spanning spa operations, commercial strategy, and hospitality technology. Sara has managed and directed hotel spas, worked as a revenue manager for Carnival overseeing the performance of cruise ship spas, and most recently held a business development role within a hospitality tech start-up.

After several years in tech, Sara returned to the spa industry with a renewed perspective and a clear purpose: to help strengthen the commercial understanding, confidence, and leadership capability of spa professionals at every stage of their journey.

Sara is particularly committed to supporting the next generation of spa leaders and closing the long-standing gap between spa operations and hotel commercial strategy. Her blend of operational insight and financial expertise underpins Spa Well’s educational approach.

This includes our Foundation in Spa Revenue Management & Financial Strategy course, designed to equip managers with the financial and strategic skills essential for modern spa operations.

We actively contribute to the development of long-term career pathways within the sector, including supporting the Spa Manager Apprenticeship trailblazer group led by Skills England. Our aim is to help create structured routes that prepare future leaders with the knowledge they need from day one.
